, discharge of any offensive matter whatever into any street or 3 public place. 6. Every person before beginning or making other pre- ! parations for any buildings, any portion of which, when built, s will abut on any street or footway, shall deliver at the Town f Clerk’s Office notice in writing to the Board of such his or her 1 intention. b 7. Such notice shall describe the intended work, and I specify the height, depth, extent, and position thereof ; and - shall also state whether or not it will ba, necessary, for the i execution thereof, to construct any deposit buildr ing materials upon the street or footway, and if so, for how : long. i 8. The Board may, after having received any such notice, grant to the person giving the same a license for the erection of 1 scaffolding and the deposition of building materials, and such * license may be extended by endorsement under the hand of the i Town Clerk. I 9. A fee of five (5) shillings per month shall be paid tor ■ every such license, and every such license shall be renewed from month to month. 10. Any person erecting any scaffolding or depositing any building materials or any other obstructions upon any street or footways hall, before doing so, put up such hoartling and fences as shall be approved of by the Works Committee or any officer appointed by the Board, so as to separate such scaffolding, building materials or any other obstructions from the rest of the street or footway ; and shall so maintain the same and keep , the same properly lighted, to the satisfaction of the Works Committee or any officer appointed by the Board, between sunset and sunrise, whilst such scaffolding, building materials or other obstructions shall be so constructed or deposded. 11. Every person licensed to erect any scaffolding or deposit any building materials or other obstructions, shall, at the expiration of such license or in the last renewal thereof, remove such scaffolding, building materials or other obstruction, and shall make good the footway or street to the satisfaction of the Works Committee or any officer appointed by the Board. 12. No person shall draw or trail any sledge, timber, or heavy material upon or along any street or road, to the injury of such street or road. 13. No person shall erect any building, fence, hedge or trees, on any road or footpath, and any person allowing any existing building, fence, hedge, or trees, to remain on or to overhang any road or footpath, shall remove the same within fourteen (14) days after receiving notice in writing under the hand of the Works Committee or any officer appointed by the Board. The owner or occupier of any property fronting on a street or road shall keep half the width of such road or street opposite his property clear from gorse and broom. 14. No person shall turn loose or tether any horse or cattle upon any public street, or allow any animal or animals to wander on any public street or thoroughfare within the district. 15. No person shall do or permit or suffer any of the following acts, defaults, o c omissions, in or upon any street, private street, or public place within the district; — (1) Throw or leave any nightsoil, dirt, paper, rubbish, or other offensive matter, or matter of a similar nature. (2) Discharge any firearms, or let off any fireworks of any kind whatever without lawful cause or authority ; throw or discharge any stone or other missile to the damage or danger of any person or property, or discharge any catapult or shanghai ; (3) Bide or drive any horse or vehicle furiously ; (4) Bide, drive, or lead any horse, or other animal or vehicle on a footway ; (5) Bide on any cart, dray, or waggen, being the person in charge thereof, without having or holding proper and sufficient reins ; (6) Cause any obstruction by allowing any vehicle or animal to remain across any street or footway, or by placing or leaving any goods, materials, or other things thereon ; (7) Deposit any mater ial or obstructions of any kind in any street or public place without the written consent of the Board ; (8) Leave any hole, excavation or dangerous formation in or near any street or public place Avithout fencing
