A meeting is to be held at Waitara on Monday for the purpose of initiating a requisition to Sir Julius Vogel to stand for Taranaki. Addresses have been issued by Messrs E. M. Smith, Wlately King, and Chides Brown, as candidates for New Plymouth. Chkistchurch. Mr J. A. Williams, of iialswell. announces his intention to contest the Avon seat with Mr Leonard Harper.
