THE WESLEYAN CHURCH ANNIVERSARY.
The anniversary of the Wesleyan Church, Temuka, was celebrated last evening with the usual conceit and tea meeting. There was a large attendance and everything passed off moat successfully. About 150 persons sat down to an excellent tea provided by the ladies of the congregation. There were altogether eight tables laid out, and these were presided over by Mesdamas Wirght, Ogilvie and Mackay, and the Misses Norton, Upton, Brown (2), McCallum, Cant, Bnxton (2), Hopkinson, Young (2), and Lewis. The tables were tastefully laid, and the ladies were most assiduous in ministering to the wants of those present. The quality of the viands was excellent, and the quantity seemed inexhaustible. After the good things were disposed of the tables were removed and at 8 p.m. the concert was held and was well attended. A full report will appear in our next.
