ENGLISH AND FOREIGN. London, May 1. Mr Dalton, tutor to the sona of the Prince of Wales, has privately published a pamphlet advocating the federation of the English colonies. In the House of Commons last night, a Bill to legalise cremation of dead bodies was rejected after debate. Tn the House of Commons to day, Mr Gladestone announced that the had accepted the proposal to hold a* Conference on Egyptian affairs, but required that there should be an exchange of views between England and France beforehand as to the subjects discussed.
