London, April 27. It is stated in Cairo that the town of Korosko is threatened by the followers of El Mahdi. Osman Digna has rallied a large force, and is encamped at Haudouk. The Standard publishes a report from Egypt that four divisions of Bedouins,

numbering 50U soldiers, have deserted i'rom the ranks of Gordon Pasha’s garrison at Khartoum, and that bis position is helpless. The same paper states that the Soudan is lost as far us Wadyholfa. Cairo, April 27. Intelligence has been received here that troops cotnprsing the garrison at Berber have mutinied, and have fraternised with the Arab rebels, who are reported to be in possession of the town. It is further stated that great excesses are being committed by the followers of tlie Mahdi, and that the townspeople now being without protection are taking refuge in flight.
