The Divorce Court has sustained the legality of the marriage of Earl Euston, heir of the Duke of Grafton, with Kate Cook, a courtesan, which he disputed on the ground of her having been previously married. The Court held that Kate Cook’s previous marriage was illegal, owing to the fact that the man she married had already a living wife. Earl Euston is well known is Australia, where he lived for sixteen years as a Government officer under the name of Fitzroy, The marriage of Prince Louis of Battenburg is postponed till May. Melbourne, x\pril 7. The persons wounded by the recent railway accident are progressing favor ably towards recovery. The mcmhsrs of the Board of Enquiry have inspected the scene of the disaster. Biddle, stationmaster at Weribee, through whose negligence the fatal railway accident at Little River is alleged to have been caused, has been committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter.
