KAKAHU SCHOOL.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I notice in your issue of to-day a report of the meeting of the Board of Education. In re Kakahu School it was stated that a petition had been sent in signed by a majority oi householders requesting the Board to let the pupil teacher remain. I can only say that the majority did not sign the petition. Only two of the Committee and 7 or 8 other householders signed, and it would have been very inconsistent on the Committee’s part if they had done so after hankering the Board of Education for the last twelve months for a mistress. Apologising for troubling you.—l am, etc., Agricola. March Btb, 1884.
