GERALDINE COURSING CLUB.

A Committee meeting of the above club was held at Farrell's Bush Hotel, Geraldine, yesterday afternoon. Present —M<ssrs Cunningham (Chairman), M. Connelly, Warner, Farrell, and D. Hrff«nzie (Secretary). The minutes of the previous meeting svere read and confirmed. Tue Chairman stated that the meeting had been called to consider the balancesheet, which subsequently would be laid before the annual general meeting of the club. It showed a balance in favor of the club, which, considering the l&teneii of the season when it was started, was considered very satisfactory. The names of members who had not paid up their subscriptions were read over, and the Secretary was requested' to write to them asking that the same be paid as soon as possible, Proposed by Mr Farrell, seconded byMr Connolly, and carried unanimously—- •" That a bonus of £3 3s be handed over to Mr D. McKenzie, the Secretary of the, club, in recognition of his past valuable services, and that a cheque of £2 2s be handed over to Mr P. Thomson, for his valu-ible services as slipper." The Secretary spoke as to the necessity of obtaining the services of a local jndge, which ir.i -lit result in a saving of money to the club. The question ps to the date for the holding of the annual general meeting of the club was next discussed. Proposed by Mr Furrell, seconded by Mr VVarnf r, and carried—" That the annual general meeting of the club be held on Saturday, March Bth, at half-past seven p m., at the Bush hotel, Geraldine. Tiie drawing by lot for five members of Committee to retire by rotation, in accordance with the rules of the club, theu took place, when it was declared that Messrs M. Connelly, Farrell, Foster, Tayh.r, and D. McKenzie were the retiring members. Tl.e meeting terminated with the nsual vote of thaoks to the chair.
