THE TEMUKA LICENSING COMMITTEE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I was surprised by noticing Mr John Talbot thanking the electors for putting him on the Lincensiug Committee. I never saw him do such a thing before. I suppose the reason he did it this time was that there was no one more surprised than himself at being elected. Ho knew he had done Temuka a grievious injury by preventing it becoming a borough and he thought Temuka would avenge it. He was mistaken. Temuka has not sufficient energy to resent any such treatment. I am, etc., One who did not Vote for Him.
