AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS. CHBISTCHUECH. Messrs Robert Wilkin and Co. report ; At the Addington Yards, on Wednesday, 9905 sheep and 520 head of cattle were yarded for the week’s supply. Fat sheep—An over supply to hand, and, in consequence, the biddings were dull. Prime crossbreds sold from 13s 6d to 18s ; do merino wethers, from 10s to 11s ; fat lambs from 7s to 11s, according to quality. A good entry of store sheep met a tair sale at prices a shadow below late quotations. In fat cattle, a full supply came forward, for which description there was little or no alteration in prices compared to last week’s sale. Sheepskins, Fat, Hides, etc —Our catalogue this week comprised about 2000 skins, consisting of merinos, crossbreds, pelts (dry and green), and lambskins. Last week’s prices were fully maintained, and all lots on hand were cleared out. We also sold about 70 sacks of fat, at prices fuliy up to our late quotations. Particulars of sale as under :—Crossbreds, Is, to 3s 7d; merinos, Bd, to 3s 4d ; pelts, dry, from 2d to 5d ; do, butchers, Bd, to Is 2d ; lambs, from 8d to Is ; fat, from 2d to 2fd ; hides, 601bs and upwards, at 4d ; 40 to 601bs, 3jd ; under 401bs, 3d ; calfskins, at per lb. CHRISTCHURCH CORN EXCHANGE. The Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday evening, the 18th inst : The grain market has shown a slightly increased activity during the past week, more especially in oats, several large parcels have changed hands at former rates, the increased demand not being sufficient to warrant a departure from the prices ruling for some time past. There is little likelihood of a change until the new crop comes forward. The following are the week’s quotations : Wheat —Sound milling, winter 4s to 4s 3d, f.o.b. ; Tuscan, 3s 9d to 4s, f.o.b. ; second quality 3s 3d to 3s 8d ; chick wheat, 2s to 2s 3d, at Christchurch. Oats—Prime milling, 2s 2d per bushel ; bright short feed, 2s ; inferior and discolored, Is 8d to Is lOd per bushel, f.o.b. Barley—None offering, prices nominal. Cheese and Butter— to 5d for the former with little demand, and 6|d to 7d for the latter, ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Jan. 16. Adelaide wheat, ex store, is at 44s ; New Zealand do, 36s to 425. Adelaide flour, ex store, is worth 3ls, Australian tallov?—Best beef 39s 6d, best 44s.
