ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

There were large entries of all kinds o£ stock on Wednesday. In the fat sheep market fat ewes constituted a large portion of the entry. The demand for the best of the wethers was good, and high values were given, the ewes being obtained by local buyers slightly cheaper th'in of iate. The merino wethers, of which there was not a fe>v, were difficult to quit; for export 17s to 20s per head was paid for crossbred wethers, down to los for lighter weights ; fat ewes and mired from 13s 6dto 17s ; merino wethers at 9s 3d to 108 6d, being from to 3±d, according to quality. A large number of store sheep were offered, and a good demand experienced at values relatively higher than those mling for fat e *eep. Lines of two-tooth crossbred s sold at 12s to 14s; a line of two, fcur acd sixth-tooth wethers at 13s 9d ; do eweß, 13s ; a line of lambs, 9s ; merino wethers at 7s 6d and 9s ; ewes and lambs, 13s 4d and 18s 3d. Fat larnos—A large entry ; soiling well at from 8s Gd to lis 6d per head. A moderate entry of pigs sold v«;ry well. Fat cattle—A largo number p nned. Demand only moderate, and a slight reduction in value took place. Steers sold from £6 5s to £9 10s ; heifers, £5 17s 6d to £8 10 ; fat cows, £4 10s to £6 15s, being from 18s to 29s 6d per lOOlbs, according to quality.—Press. ENGLISH MARKETS.

Adelaide wheat, ex store, has further fallen 6d per quarter, and is now quoted at 45s ; New Zealand do remains at 38s to 4bs, and Adelaide flour, ex store, at 31s 6d.

Tbe New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Ageaey Company, Limited, have received the following, dated London, January Bth, 1884 :—Wool—Market; unchanged. Wheat Market dull. New Zealand is worth 42b per 4961b5, Tallow—Market firm. Mutton is worth 44s 6d per cwt., beef is worth 39s 6d. Frozen meat —The shipment per lonio is believed to bave arrived in good order, save tbe effects of fire on passage. Mutton wishing 651 b to 701 b per carcase is worth per lb.
