Quarantine has been established here against vessels arriving from Mauritius, where an outbreak of smallpox bias occurred. The principal damage done by the file at the Apollo candle works was in two ot the still rooms, both of which were completely glutted. The loss is estimated at £12,000. Captain Lancaster, of the brig John Wesley, from the South Sea Islauds, reports having seen the American schooner Greyhound, of San Francisco, ashore at Mamaka, with the loss of her rudder and false keel. Later intelligence from Haabi states that the Greyhound had floated off and been safely anchored at Lifuka.
