AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, Dec. 4. The Melbourne mansger of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports of the local grain market as follows : Shipping wheat is quiet at 4s 5d to 4s 6d ; new milling barley is neglected at 3s 9d to4s ; New Zealand outs are in fail demand, feeding realising 2s lid to 3s Id, milling 3s 2d to 3s 3d ; New Zealand oats in bond are slow of sale at 2s to 2s to 2s 4d. Dec. 6, The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, at their wool sale to-day, offered 4200 bales ; 3500 bales were sold at excellent prices, fine sorts being in very good demand. There was a good attendance of Home and foreign buyers, and good competition was experienced, prices being firmly maintained. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Dec. 3. At the wool sale to-day the auction was firm, and there was an active demand experienced for the various lots offered. The catalogue comprised 8200 bales. Dec, 4. Adelaide wheat, ex store, has declined sixpence per quarter, and is to-day at 40s. New Zealand wheat is quoted at 38s 6d to 43s 6d, a decline of Is on the best qualities. Adelaide flour remains at 325, ex store. Australian tallow—Best beef, 39s ; best mutton, 435. The catalogue at to-day’s wool sale comprised 9700 bales. The market continues firm, Dec. 5. At the wool sales to day 9400 bales were catalogued. A firm and active demand prevailed.'
