THE PROPOSED MAIL SERVICE TO HILTON.

TO THE EDITOR, ' Sib,—l hava read with much interest this letters that hare appeared in' tegard to the proposed mail service to Hilton snd neighborhood by way of Temuka, and I must say that I fail to see from the arguments thereon adduced why such service should not be established. It may perhaps leave Geraldine out in the cold, and no doubt the residents there feel they will be very much slighted, bat I submit, Sir, that the proposed mail route will largely benefit several districts, which under present circumstances derive none, or scarcely any at all. As another meeting is convened for Friday evening next, I hope the residents in all the, concerned will be well represented, and I Üb\ sure that the verdict of the public will be largely in favor of the route via Temuka to Hilton.—l am, etc., Hilton No. 2.
