LAND SALES.

Last Wednesday a number of sections in the township of Geraldine, Orari. and Arundel were submitted to public auction at the Geraldine Courthouse. There was a very small attenddance, and little or no spirit was shown in the biddings. The whole of the Geraldine sections, with two exceptions, went for the upset price. Borne of the Orari sections were better competed for, realising in one or two of the suburban sections 50 and 100 per cent above the upset price. The following is a list of the sections sold and the prices realised. The other sections not finding purchasers Geraldine.

AROWHENUA. The sale of sections in the village settlement of Arowhenua took place at the Temuka Courthouse, last Thursday. The sale was attended by scarcely a dozen people, and with one exception the whole of the sections sold were knocked down at the upset price. More than half the sections failed to elicit a bid and were passed it. The following is a Hat of the sections sold with the names of the purchasers and prices attached;—
