Wool, Skins, Hides and Tallow—They held their usual sale lat-t Wednesday, when a full entry was received.",.They, catalogued about 1200 skins, a number of bales and bags wool, and hides and .tallow- They quote prices rather easier, though for a number of lots, there-was 1 considerable competition. They sold the whole of the entry at the following prices:.' —Full woolled butchers' skins from 4s to ss; medium lots, from 2s 6d to 3s 6d ; light and inferior skins, from Is 6d to 2s 4d ; mixed Jots of wool, 4£d to 7d per lb';"hides, from 3d to 3W per lb; tallow, from 2id to 2|d per lb.

Messrs Robert Wilkin and Co. report : Sheepskins, Fat, Hides, &c—Owing to the large number of skins 'offered yesterday (Thursday) our usual weekly sale had to be poslponed until to-day, when we submitted a large catalogue. We disposed of all our lots, but at much lower prices than last sale realised. The low prices for butchers' skins is very noticeable. Wo catalogued 4321 sheepskins, 73 bags fat, 75 hides,-'and 33 calfskin*, and cleared them as follows—Country crossbreds 2s Id, 2? sd, 2s lOd, 3s 7<l, 4s 6d to 5s ; country merinos, Is 7d, 2s t 2s 6d, 3s 6(1, 3s lid, 4s lid to 5s Id; butchers' crossbreds, 3a. 9d, 4s, 4s 4d, 4s 9d to 5s ;.butchers' merinos, 4s, 4s 4d, 4s 9.1 to ss. Fat was cleared at last sale's rates. Hides and calfskins, green, 3|d ; wet salted, 3£d ; dry salted, 3|d ; cut and damaged, 2|d ; calfskins, 3fd.

The Com Exchange report for. the week ending Friday evening, the Kith inst.:—
A slight increased activity has been experienced in the grain market during the past week, ' though still not on a very extensive scale.' For sound milling wheat there has boen an iuiproved demand, a few parcels having changed hands at current rates. In oats there is not much doing, holders beiog firm in refusing to entertain any price under their limits. Owing to the lateness of the season, there is some difficulty in obtaining good sound potatoes, consequently a slight advance in price is being offered. Wheat- Sound milling, 3s 9d to 4s per bushel, delivered at Christchurch ; second quality, 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; chick wheat, Is lOd to 2s 3d per bushel. Oats-Prime milling, 2s Id to 2a 2d per bushel, f.o.b. ; bright short feed, Is lid to 28; inferior and discolored, Is 8d to ls.lOdper bushel. Barley—First class malting, 4s to 4s 3d per bushel ; second quality, 3s 6d to 3s 8d ; feed, Is lid to 2s 2d per bushel. Grass Seed—Unaltered since previous quotations. Potatoes—27s 6d to 30s at country stations.
Cheese and Butter—4|d to 5d for the former, and 6d to 7dfor the latter ; kegs extra.
AUSTRALIAN MARKETS.
Melbourne, Nov. 16
New Zealand wheat, per bushel, 3s ; New Zealand oats, 2s 3d ; maize, 2s 6d ; Su-ar Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, L 34. Adelaide, Nov. 16.
Wheat is steady at 4s 4d. The flour market is depressed ; town hrands LlO 12s 6d, country ditto L 9 10s.
ENGLISH MARKETS,
London, Nov. 15.
Hides Australian light weights, Is 8d to Is 4d, lower and heavy weights, ls4d.
Nov. 16
Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 40s, and New Zealand do, 38s 6<L to 44s 6d. Adelaide flour, ex store, 325.
The total quantity of wheat afloat, for Great Britain is 1,750,000 quarters, a decrease of 10,000 quarters during the week.
Australian tallow—Best beef, 3Ss ; best mutton, 395.
