Malting barley hasfallen from 3d to .6d per bushel during the week,, and is now worth 4p to ss. New Zealand feeding oats are quoted at 2s 9d to 3s, "a decline of Id. Quotations fori other 'grain remain nominal. ■ > At the wool sale to-day Messrs Golds-: brough and Co. (limited), catalogued <J(JOO bales, of which 8000 were sohj., Medium to superior .greasy brought lOd to, J3|-d ; ordinary 10 good scoured, 14d, to2od. A brisk competition |was .experienced.

CHEISTCHUECH. Messrs Robert Wilkin and 'Co. report :— :

'At (heir Aldington yards on Wednesday a large supply of fat and store stock came forward, Fat Cattle—A full supply yarded, the quality of which was above the usual average. Biddings were dull compared to last sales,, and owners had to submit to a slight drop in prines. Sheep—Prime crossbreds (shorr.) at 15s 6d and 15s ; do merino (shorn), at lis. On account of Mr E.

Kelland, of Timaru, fat lambs from 9s to lis; and on various' .owners' account, we sold a dratt of merino ewes, with a small percentage of lambs, at 8s 6d. ■

Sheepskins, Fat, Hides and Tallow— A supply below the average,.came forward for our Thursday's sale. We catalogued 1781 sheepskins, 87 bags .fat, 6 casks tallow, and 83> hides* We sold country mrrinos from/Is 8d to 5s lOd, the laf t( r .'pii'e for Mr E. Lee's, of Temuka, skins. Country crossbreds, from 2s to 5s 4d ; Butchers' crossbreds, from 3s lOd to 5s 4d ; butchm' merinos, from 4s 8d to ss, Bd, and for Mr A § Bull's skins, which "Were in first-rate condition, we obtained:] 6.«; lambskins, 7d to lid. • Fat—Fair com'petitiorr for the lots offered, which* we clear°d out from 2d per lb.
