A meeting of the Committee was held on Monday, August 13th. Members present—Messrs Talbot (Chairman), Currie, Scott, Seaton, Anderson and Moore. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. A letter from the Board of Education was read, sanctioning the appointment of Mils Drybrugh as Sowing Mistreat

The following resolution was proposed by Mr Currie, seconded by M v Scott, and carried unanimously—" That the Committee regret that the Inspector has deemed it necewnry to recomtn nd a change ofmasteis, being of opinion that this action is at least ptcmaturc, and being confident that parents are we 1 s,.tisfidd with the progress their children aro making under Mr Campbell. That it was an impossibility to obtain a fair per centage of papses in the face of the deporably bad sta'e of the school when Mr Campbell took charge, »s ptovwl by the Inspector's report of February 13 h. The Committee have every cmfi em e in Mr Campbell, and wou'd tespectfuliy ask • the Board not to dispense with Ills services in connection with this SHi-ol nt present.'
