Mr Dennistoun remarked on the bad state of the road for traffic, and thought' it was only fair to the Mount Feel District that something should be done. He was a ratepayer in both districts. The whole of the road was fenced on both sides with the exception of a small portion, and there were also farms on both sides, and land nnder crop, and farmers should receive consideration. At the time the road was originally formed it was thought that the country around was nothing but sheep runs, but now the case was different.
Mr Flatman : Will jour Board allow your Overseer to act with ours in the matter ?
Mr Dennistioun : Yes, it would be more satisfactory if they met, went over the road and saw what to do.
The Chairman : Is there any limit as to cost ? Mr Lennistoun : The resolution I read says that the road should be put in thorough good order, without limit as to cost. The Geraldine Road Board to take the road over after the re-
pairs were done. Mr JDeßenzy : Then the work should be done to the satisfaction of our Overseer only ? Mr Dennistoun : The work would be carried out by your Board, and our Overseer would have nothing to do with that.
Mr Platman . It would be better for the two Overseers to agree as to the work to be carried out, and also as to the specifications. Mr Dennistouu: Certainly.
The deputation withdrew, after being informed by the Chairman that the Board would favorably consider the matter.

INTERVIEWS. Mr Jones had fctt’ interview re his road. He said he had heard the decision of the Board during the morning silting. He was willing to dedicate the road at any time to the Board.
