This Company is formed for the purpose of acquiring by purchase and fully developing the business hitherto carried on by James Bruce and Co. at the Royal Flouring Mills, Ti i aru, and the several businesses in connection therewith, together with the Freeholds and Improvements erected thereon, comprising the large 6-storey Mill Building known as the Royal Flouring Mills, with all the machinery erected and fitted therein, as working; also, the Grain Elevator in course of erection, whereby Grain can bo Graded, Dried and Brushed Clean, in perfect order for milling or shipment. This elevator is upon the most improved American principle, and will store upwards of 500,000 bushels when finished, and 2000 tons of manufactured Produce for delivery. Also, 2-storey Brick Dwelling and other Offices, Stables, Sheds, etc, forming well-designed premises, capable of doing a large trade with the greatest despatch and .the smallest amount of labor, reducing tba working expenses to a minimum, well suited for the wants of farmers and others interested in cultivation. The Premises abut on a through Railway Siding, and are connected by a Pr'vate Siding with Track Scale and Turntable, running between the Store and Mill. The Property fronting also on Grey street, affords every facility for receiving and delivering by road and rail. The Buildings and Machinery are all quite new, having been erected on the site of those destroyed by fire on May 21st, 1881. They were erected and fitted after Mr Bruce had visited and inspected many of the Best Mills in the United States and Canada. The Machinery and Equipments are upon the Hungarian-American patent process of gradual reduction, and are capable of turning out 350 to 400 sacks of flour per clay, of superior quality and dress. The Flour already made since the Mills were rebuilt—about 1200 tons—has given the brand a name in the market, leaving no room for doubt that the machinery is perfect. This is the only mill so fitted this side of the Line. The produce being altogether superior to any other brand, and having found a ready sale at the top price—the machinery being all quite new and fully proven to be all that can be desired, leaves no doubt and no lost time waiting in suspense, It is a first class going concern, and can be depended upon giving immediate returns from the time the Company enters into nossassion. The Provisional Directors depend upon public taking this enterprise heartily up, and can fully recommend it as a safe and profitable investment, to Farmers, as a ready local market for their produce ;to Bakers, Housekeepers, and all who wish bread in its best possible form. Mr Bruce has decided upon this course owing to the sudden death of Mr Mendelson, with whom he was formerly aseoc'ated. The Oatmeal Machinery, to be erected as soon as the Company is formed, will consist of Bruce's Patent Drying Apparatus calculated to prepare from any degree of dnmpnesft Wheat, Oats, or any other kind of grain, in first-class condition for either milling or shipment at a nominal cost, it being perfectly automatic ; togegether with other machinery of first class type for the manufacture of Oatmeal in its best form. The Company will be governed by a Board of Directors, associated with a General Manager chosen by the Shareholders. The Buildings and Machinery have been all examined by Messrs James Gr iy (of Reid and Gray, Dunedin), George Lawrie, of Pareora," and John Anderson, Christchurch, who are all we 1 known as Engineers and Millwrights, and whose judgment can be depended upon. They pronounce all to be in first-class order, and the price at which the Company can purchase very advantageous to Shareholders. As soon as the Company is formed the Freeholds will be transferred to Trustees chosen by the Shareholders, for and on behalf of the Company. N.B.—Farmers may make payment by grain at current rates.
