AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, June 19 The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Co, of New Zealand, Limited, reports of the local grain market as follows : Wheat has declined Id during the week, and is now quoted at 4s lid to ss. Malting barley is steady at 5s 3d to 6s. New Zealand oats have suffered a fall of Id per busheljduring the weeks and feeding qualities are worth 2s XOd to 3s Id, and milling do, 3s Id to 3s Id, the market being depressed. New
Zealand oats under bond are neglected, to-day’s quotations being 2s 2d to 2s 4d. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, June 18. Consols remain at 100|, and New Zealand securities at the following quotations ;—5 per cent 10-40 loan 5 per cent 1889 loan, 104* ; 4lper cent 1879-1904 loan, 1021; 4 per cent inscribed stock, 102|-, Breadstuff's are dull at 47s for Adelaide wheat ex store, and 43s to 46s for New Zealand ditto. Adelaide flour ex store is worth 335. Australian tallow—Best beef, 39s j best mutton, 425, The catalogue at to-day’s wool auction comprised 11,200 bales. Prices were steady, but the demand was not active.
