AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Adelaide, April 30. Wheat is firm at 5s Gd to 5s 7d ; town flour £l2 10s ; country brands, £ll 10s. The freight market is steady with a moderate demand, but in charters there is nothing doing, Melbourne, May 1.
The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand reports of the local grain market as follows Shipping wheat is steady at 5s Td to 5s sd. Malting barley is in good demand at
5s 6d to 5s lOd. New Zealand oats are quieter but steady at 2s 108 to 3s 2d for feeding, and 3s 2d to 3s 44 for milling sorts. New Zealand odts under bond, 2s 3d to 2s Bd. ENGLISH MARKETS. The wool market is quiet, j The arrivals to date for next amount to 320.000 bales. G April 30. Adelaide wheats ex store, 50s ; New Zealand do 45s to 48s 6d ; j Adelaide flour, ox warehouse, has fallen to 345. Australian tallow is firm at last quotations.
