Melbourne, March 26. At the election for West Bourke today, the Hon A. Deakin, Minister for Public Works, was re-elected, defeating Sir Bryan O’LoghLn by a large majority. The state of the poll was —Deakin, 1882; O’Loghlen, 1186, Sydney, March 27. The Easter encampment ol Volunteers at Windsor and Middlehead passed off most successfully. There was immense traffic yesterday on trams and railways, and the harbor steamers were crowded with excursionists. At one o'f the favorite resorts, Balmoral, the steamer jetty, when covered with people, collapsed, and numbers wore precipitated into the water, but all were speedily rescued.
