A despatch from London dated February 11th says* the outlook for the crops generally throughout Europe is gloomy in the extreme. No part of the Continent east or west, escaped inundation, and the immediate destruction of property has been widespread, but is insignificant as compared with the damaged prospects of the year. The largest gasometer in Glasgow exploded on January 22nd, causing almost a panic, as the greater portion of the south of the city was left in darkness, Subsequently a shed belonging to the Caledonian Railroad Company was blown up. The explosions are believed to be the work of Fenians.
