V.R.C. SPRING MEETING.

They ran in much this order until the distance was reached ,where Darebin looked dangerous, but his weight told against him. The Assyrian then came in flying, and won by half a length, and the same length separated the second and thiid horses. Time—Brain 40sec. The Darling Stakes —Essex, 1 ; Sinking Fund, 2 ; Tamworth, 3. Five started.

Yan Yean Stakes, 1 mile— Bagot, 1 ; Colewort. 2 ; Verdure, 3, Nineteen started. Time—lmin 45sec.
