TEMUKA ROAD BOARD.

The usual monthly meeting of the above Board was held last Tuesday.

PRESENT. Messrs Barker, Ensor, Austin and Paterson. On the motion of Mr Paterson, Mr Barker took the chair.

MINUTES. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. WGitKS TO BE DONE. Mr Badham asked for the drain to be cleared from the creek to near his house, about five chains. Granted. Mr Bisset applied for drain to be cleared from Penny's road. Granted. lie Mr In wood's application for boarding fence at Winchester bridge. The matter was left to Mr Paterson and the Surveyor.

Mr Wareing applied for a dr&iu en Marshall's road to be cleared. The .Board decided to do the work, and Mr Wareing was asked to give a price for keeping them clear afterwards, by the year.

On the motion of Mr Ensor, the Surveyor was instructed to repair the Smithfield fords. MISCELLANEOUS. Kesolved—" That for the future the same discount be taken off advertising and printing accounts, viz. per cent as is taken off store accounts. " Resolved—" T'lat a detailed statement showing where and how the day men were employed be laid on the table each month."

Mr Deßenzie asked permission to put in pipei across the Boundary road. Granted, subject to Surveyor's approval,

TENDER. The tender of Mr Malcolmson was accepted for Contract No. 9, £127. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £295 14s 3d were passed, and the meeting then adjourned. * BOAKD OF HEALTH. The local Board of Health then sat. Present—same members.

The report from the Inspector of Nuisances was read and approved. No other business of importance being before the meeting, it adjourned.
