The breadstuffs market is declining; New Zealand wheat, ex warehouse, has fallen to 495, and Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, to 295. Adelaide wheat, ex warehouse, remains at 545. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,890,001) quarters.

The market for Australian tallow has a downward tendency ; best mutton has declined to 455, best beef remains at 40s. The total stock of tallow in London on the let inst. was 3100 casks.

At the wop! sales today 9900 bales were offered. The tone of the market is firm. New, South,Wales fleece and crossrbred' now rule one half-penny higher than at the close of last auction. March 5. A sculling match has been arranged

Mr Kitching has had his barn and stable destroyed by fire at his Beaumont Farm, losing a quantity of woo), a threshing mill, and other property. He is believed to be insured, but the amount is not knowu . Only a short time ago Mr Kitching lost a large woolshed with va’uable contents by fire.
