A FLOATING EXHIBITION.
A respectable mercantile firm, in the Citv of London have conceived the idea of chartering a large steam er specially adapted for the pur; ose of a floating Commercial Exhibition. The steamer is to he of about 3000 tons' i.i which arrangements will be ma le for a large number of sample rooms for the display of any variety of goods, with ample open space for showing large samples, such as agricultural and woodworking machinery, boilers, &c. Spaces for cabins will he let off at certain prices, measuring from 6 f'et by 8 feet 6 feet by 12 feet, and it is thought that these spaces will effectively show most descriptions of manufactures. With regard to the trip, it \< proposed that they should occupy about twelve months from the date of clepa:ture. All being ready, the vessel will proceed from London to Cape Town, Port Elizabeth,
East London, and Durban, the port ol ( Natal ; thence by Port Louis to | Adelaide, Melbourne, Launceston, , Hobart, Sydney, and Brisbane. Then ! it is proposed to visit Auckland, Napier, | Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port dial- | mers. From this point the vessel will i u make ” for borne again by way of the South American West Coast ports, Calloa and Valparaiso, the Straits of Magellan, Buenos Ayres, Monte Video, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, and Pernambuco.
