MOUNT PEEL ROAD BOARD.

The ordinary monthly meeting, of the , Board was held in the Road Board Office „ Peel Forest, on the 20lh ipst. MEMBERS PRESENT. „ The Hon J Barton A. Acland,* Messrs., Roberts, Mackay, J. G. Dennistoun, C. G. Tripp, and J..Heney, This being the first meeting sipce the . election of the new members, ft was proposed by Mr Tripp, seconded by Mr- r Heney and carried—‘‘.That the Hon J? Auditor, the books, vouchers, and accounts of the ’ Board be made up to the 31st December, and ready for his Audit at Geraldine on . Smith, offering a rent for . the reserve at Peel Forest. Resolved—“ That the matter of leasing - the reserve be deterred for the present. From Mr M. Resolved—'“ That all contractors under the Board be granted six weeks extension of time in order to let their men go to the harvest.” The Board agreed unanimously that a b.onus of £26 be granted to Mr Irvine in addition to his salary for the past year. The Overseer was instructed to inspect the creek at the new concrete bridge in Peel Forest, to ascertain if any protective works are required ; also, to have a substantial gate hung at the reserve at Peel Forest, and a culvert placed across the drain. . accounts.
