Severn sentences, of imprisonment, have been passed upon persons convicted, of briber-y, in ’connection with tiie late elections at Macclesfield and Sandwich. i Mr Michael Boy ton, one of the chief ; organizers cf the Irish Land League, who was imprisoned on March 9th, has now been released. Several further arrests have, however, been made in various parts of Ireland ; among them ( is Mr Nil lon (sic) on a charge of rioting s at Bniff, mar Limerick. 1 Cases of refusal to pay rent are now i becoming general in the west and south ' ~ r of Ireland.
