The Gladstone Election. - On Thursday last, the nomination of c md'dates for the Gladstone seat in the House of Representative; look; phc’e at the Washdyko, Messrs Newton, Anderson, Dc Fisher and Captain £utier were dipy nominated. The latter, on a show of bands, olnained 13 votes. A poll was demanded by Dr Fisher. The election will lake place on the 9th instant. The evening being remarkably fine, a largo concourse of people assembled in front of the section. After three hearty cheers bad been given for the band, the proceedings terminated.
