This Company is projected to establish the manufacture of printing, wrapping, and other papers. 7. According to official returns, there are 1050 tons of printing paper alone annually imported into this Colony, at a cost of over £250,000, and to this must be added other kinds of paper to more than double that amount. It is therefore evident that theie is ample scope for the projected undertaking 8. It is contemplated importing the very best machinery procurable, the probable cost of which, includin ' necessary buildings, will amount to £15,000. 9. The following local advantages have influenced the promotrrs in choosing Temuka s the site of the projected Mill, viz : (a) Connection with the railway by siding, and close proximity to the Port of Timaru. (b.) An unlimited supply of pure water, free from iron and other deleterious matter. (c.) Cheap aud abundant supply of raw material. 10. The Promoters after mature consideration and careful investigation, have no he itation in placing this scheme before the public, and soliciting their co-operation, in the full assurance that the enterprise will be a boon to the colony at large aud a profitable investment to the Shareholders. 11, Furthermore, it is hardly necessary to point out the many advantages which will accrue f.om an industry of this kind, such as the util;-atl-.m of materials now wasted, employment of labor, the circulation of capital, aiuf the establishment of kindred industries which is sun- to follow in the wake of that now projected. Forms of application can be obtained at the Bank of New Zealand, Temuka, or its other Branches, or thorn the. Brokers. MESSRS REID & GRANGER, gtyth Main South Road, 1 iurartu
