This Company is projected to establish the manufacture of printing, wrapping, and other papers. 7. According to official returns, there are 1050 tons of printing paper alone annually imported into this Coluiiy, at a cost of over £250,000, and to this must be added other kinds of paper to more than double that amount. It is therefore evident that there is ample scope for the projected undertaking S. It is contemplated importing the very best machinery procurable, the probable cost of which, includin;■ necessary buildings, will amount to £15,000. 9. Tin following local advantages have influenced the promot rs in choosing Temuka s the site of t\e projected Mill, viz : (a) Connection wilh the railway by siding, and close proximity to the Port of Timaru. (b.) An unlimited supply of pure water, {••je from iron and other deleterious matter, (c.) Cheap and abundant supply of raw material. 10. The Promoters after mature consideration and careful investigation, have no he-it ation in placing this scheme before the publij, ar.d soliciting their co-operation, in the full assurance that the enterprise will be a boon to the colony at large and a profitable investment to t he Shareholders. 11. Furthermore, it is hardly necessary to point out the many advantages which will accrue fi om an industry of this kind, such as the utilisation of materials now wasted, employment of labor, tin- circulation of capital, and the establishment of kindred industries which is sure to follow in the wake of that now piojcctod. Forms of application can be obtained at the Bank of New Temuka, or its other Branches, or from the Brokers. AU&idKS fiEID & GRANUEB, SOfcli llaiu fciouUi Ktxu], ''iiuttt;,
