THE GOLD PANTRY AT WINDSOR.
The custodianship of Her Majesty's gold pantry at Windsor Castle, just rendered vacant by the death of MiGoring, is an office of great trust, ati may be inferred from the fact that when the Queen entertained the fimperor of Russia, shortly after the mairiage of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, gold plate to the valua of some L2,000,G0(> is said to have been used. At a rough guess, the Royal gold and silver services at Windsor Palace are probably worth about L3,000,C00, and include soma very fine specimens of artistic workman. ?hip.
