The consideration of the Irish Land Bill was resumed in the House of Commons last evening. After further debate, the f oU ,th clause of the measure was passed without amendment, and progress was reported. It is announced officially that the Right Hon. AT C. Grant Duff, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies, lias been appointed Governor of the Maiiras Presidency.

Another smart shock of earthquake oc curred at 715 this morning. By the earthquake on Sunday at Woodville losses were sustained in the destruction of chimneys and ciockery estimated at £SOO in value. In Napier the shock was slight, and no damage done. Dtjnbdin, June 29. A Cromwell mine has sent down a cake of 317 ounces of gold from 290 tons quartz, for a fortnight's crushing.
