Auckland, June 17. The Council, by 5 to 4, resolved (o open the Free Public Library on Sundays, between the hours of two and six iu the afternoon, and seven to ten at night. Messrs Russell and Devore, the city solicitors, have resigned, in consequence of a resolution of the legal committee the Council, that they could not consistently act for both the Council and the Harbor Board. Arrived —Barque Camilla, 122 days from London ; also the Loch Boon, which left on the 14th March. An apprentice named John Whytes, sixteen years old, was washed ovcrhoaad from (he Loch Doon and drowned. The Auckland footballers, at a meeting resolved to adopt the suggestions of the , Wellington Club for the foimalion of an Intercolonial team, and a committee was appointed to carry out the proposal. Wellington, June 17. The appointments of three agents, under the Consolidated Stock Act, 1877 has been revoked.
