—«. Monday, .Feb. 28, 1881. (Before Nugent Wood, Esq., R.M., and S. D. Barker, Esq., J.P.) UETJNK AND RESISTING THE POMCE. For the above offences John Wilson was fined 10s for each offence, and costs. OBSCENE XANGITAGE. Elizabeth Sheen was fined for the above in the sum of 5s and costs. MAIMING pOGS. Samuel Gibson was charged with the above offence. Case adjourned for a week to enable prisoner to obtain counsel. TRESPASSING. David Leach v. M. Connolly.—Cattle trespass Mr White for defendant. Case dismissed. A FALL OUT. Same v- Same.—This case arose out of the above one, when the defendant called plaintiff (not son of a sea cook) but some: thing worse.
His Worship thought that a case o threatening language was substantiated, and fined the defendants and costs. Mr White again appeared for defendant CIVIL CASES. Gumming and Hayes. —Claim, £1 5s 6d Judgment by default for amount claimed, and costs. Gray v. Johnston.- No appearance of either party. Case struck out. Harrop v. Thoreau.—Claim, £1 lis 4d Judgment by default for amount claimed, and costs. Same v. Jackson.—Claim, £4 12s Id. Judgment by default, with costs. J. Brown v. Berry.—Claim, £8 10s. £2 paid, and judgment was given fer the balance, £6 10h, and costs, by default.
