Gray reports, fo,r the past week as follows * I held my regular monthly sale of stock f>t my yards on Wednesday last, when 100. heep, 167 head cattle. 13 pig s , a<>d 7 horses were yarded. There was a vi jy fair attendance of buyers, and I may consider tee sa‘e on the whole as very satisfactory The following were the prices obtrined for the various lots *— Sheep—l 67 cross bred, ewes and lambs v in tbu wool, 11s 3d ; 122 do, shorn, 9s 6dFai. sheep not reaching vendors reserves, were not sold. Cattle —2 fat bullocks, £8 7s 6d ; 3 heifers, nn-dium qua iiy, £5 12s 6d ; 5 steers in forward condition, £5.15s ; 2 IV. t cows, £6 7s 6d ; 4 do,,nearly fat. £5 15.- ; 15 dry cows at from £4 s;s to £4 15 ; 35 yearlings at from £2 5s £2 15a : 23 stores at from £3 15s to, £4 10s ; 2 ca ves at 12s. Pigs-=4 fat pigs were withdrawn at £2 15s 5 store pigs fetching from 25s to 32s 6d Horses—Of the seven entered only one found a. buyer at a satisfactory price to the owner I have sold privately during the the weak 450 cross bred shorn hoggets at 7s 6J for this class of sheep there is an active demand, ami I could place almost any number at present store sheep, of a.l classes being iu active demand.
