A meeting i of the, above Board yra,s held immediately after the termination of the Road Board meeting, on Tuesday. Present Messrs Talbot (Chairman), Barker, Ensor, Paterson, and Quinn A lenghty report from the Inspector of Nuisances having been read, the following resolutions were passed on the same

Resolved—“ That- the Inspector on the universal adoption of the pah tem for all closets witbin the boundaries’ of Wallingford and Arowhenua j .and further that all closets be emptied by the nightman provided, for that purpose by the Board, and that under no consideration are parties allowed to empty the pans in their gardens Any breach of this resolution to be immediately reported ( to the Board with the view of enforcing the penalties in accordance with the Public Health Act. '

Mr D.‘ Farquharaon interviewed the Board with reference to a, complaint lodged against him for keeping pigs within the 'Township of Wallingford After hearing what Mr Farquharaon had to say. the Board resolved that he be required to remove his pigs within fourteen days from date ; and that it be an instruction to the inspector that no pigs will be allowed to be kept within the boundary of Walling£ord. but in the absence of complaint the same amount of rigour need not be enforced for the present in the Townships of Arowhenua and Sodtown. It will, however, be needful for the inspector to be very careful in compelling the inhabitants of those two localities to keep all styes quite clean A letter was read from Mr W. Robinson complaining about the nuisance caused by Mr Farquharson’s pigs A letter was also t read from Mr J J Louis complaining that the nightman had neglected' his duties for some time past The nightman explained that it was in consequence of his cart having Broken down The meeting then terminated
