INTERNATIONAL SCULLING MATCH.
Nov. 18. (Afternoon). The first four Keats oi the International Regatta were rowed to day on the Thames, in the presence of a large crowd of spectators. The following were the result? : —lst heat : Laycock, 1 Hawdon, 2 ; 2nd heat : Wallace Ross, 1 ; Riley, 2 ; 3rd heat : Hosmer 1 ; Smith, 2 ; 4th heat : Trickett, 1 ; Nicholson, 2. The defeated oarsmen are Elliot, Barrier. Largan, Fehy, Gibson, Anderson, and Clasper, who do not compete further. Nov. 19. (Afternoon).
The first heat in the Regatta to-day was won by Wallace Ross, with Hosmer second. The second heat was won by Laycock, with Smith second. In this heat a foul taok plnce between Trickett and Smith, and the former was thus put out of the race. Not. 20. The protest which was entered for the foul between Trickett and Smith in one of th« heats has been disallowed by the umpires. The final results are : Laycock 1 Ross 2 Hosmer 3 Smith 4
