FIRE AT GERALDINE.
Oq Tuesday evening last, a little after ten o'clock, a fire broke out in Mandell and Co.'s auction mart and horse repository, Geraldine. The building, an extensive structure of wood and iron, was in a very short time totally consumed. The lessees are Messrs Kennedy and Carter,and they have suffered a great loss, as their property was not insured. There was in the stable, at the time of the fire, six horses. Five were got out, but the sixth, a valuable animil, perished in the flames A considerable quantity of harness, feed and other articles, that, were on the pre mises at the time of the fire, were also totally consumed. The building was only erected six months ago, and was insured for £3OO, which will not more than cover a third of the loss of the proprietors.
