TEMUKA RACES.
A meeting of gentlemen interested in the above races was held in the Crown Hotel, Temuka, on Tuesday, the 13th inst.
Dr J. S. Hayes, in the Chair, there being a good attendance: The balance sheet for last year was submitted and approved of, there being a credit bvlance.
The following gentlemen were duly elected as a Cmmittee for the ensuing year :—Dr J. S. Hayes, J. Olivier, B. Thomson, J. H. Thomson, 0. Louis, C, Story, J. Roony, Jno Paterson, L Tombs A. Mcßratney, W. Deßenzie, W. Williamson, T. Swiuton, A D. Wilson, M. Spil ane.T.Reid, D. McKay, and Wm. Murr y Hon. treasurer, Mr L. Tombs ; hon. s«c. Mr Geo. Bolton.
Rosolved—"'Tliat races be held at Temuko, in the first week of October next, Janl that Messrs Thomson, Mack 1 Bratney, and Storey, form a sub-com-mittee to draw up a/programme and to submit the same to the'next Committee n\eet ing on Thursday 2?,th inst."
