It was decided that if the master did not wish for midwinter holidays for himself it would be better not to give any as the attendence is at present better than usual .\ Mr Mali an the master, having been consulted stateil his willingness to carry out th Committee's views, in whish he concurred. It was resolved—" That there is no necessity for adopting the compulsory clauses r.f the Act at present in this district." The Inspectors report was then read. It was resolved that the master's attentiou be callel to the inspector's report re standards, and that otherwise the report be deemed satisfactory. Mr Mahan stated that the pump had been repaired by Mr McAlhst r, and that it is now in good order. The meeting then adjourned.
