R.M. COURT, TEMUKA.

Wednesday, May 26th. Before F. Guinness, Esq, R.M. The Court sat at 12 - 30. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. 1 . Woffington was charged with being drunk and disorderly and annoying passengers in a railway carriage. Fined 20s. James Topp, for being drunk and disorderly at the Temuka Railway (Station on May 23rd,. as fined 20s. RAPE. Frank F lur was brought up rnd charged with this offence. Inspector Pender applied for the case to be adjourned to next court day, an important witness being absent. Mr Austin appeared on behalf of the accused, making no objection, the re mand was granted . Bail was allowed, the accused in LSOO and two sureties of L 250 each.

Judgment for the plaintiff for the am'»unt claimed and costs, L2 6s 6d . Bepini Be he v. Temeta Waka Terawhata—Claim, L2 IDs, for a share of the rent of the Maori reserve near Tim am. Mr Stack acted as interpreter. Mis Worsnip dismissed the case, on the ground that he had no jurisdiction, the. ,qu( stion of ti le having been raised B. Towers v. F. Mularky—Claim, L 6. Mr White for the plaintiff, nd Mr Austin for the defendant. This case was adjourned last CVurL day to enable his Worship to look up authorities His Worship now gave judgment for 16s. bein the value of two whips lost, but struck out tho balance, on the ground that it was a tort arising out of a contract, and the defendant was not liable being a minor.
