ENGLISH AND FOREIGN. London, April 29, Parliament has re-assembled after the Minislcra! crisis, ami members have been sworn in. The Right Hon, H. B. Brand has been elected Speaker. Lord Carlingford has declined the Ambassadorship at Constantinople, Herschel, the Solicitor-General, has resigned. Lord Carlingford, formerly Mr Chichester Portesone, has been appointed British Ambassador at Constantinople, Correction —For Sir H. E. Chamberlain appo'nted President ot the B’ ard of Trade, read Mr Joseph Chamberlain. The total reserve in notes and bullion in the Bank of Kngland io LIG,()OO,OUU. At the wool sales to-day 1700 bales were offered, making a total of 93,20 j catalogued since the opening. Pie tone of tbo sale was quieter, but steady. The H ineward muds via Brindisi were delivered to-day. Parliament mot to-day. The new members were sworn in, and tbo Right Hon, H. R. W. Bi-jiul was ag.in elected S| eakor of the House of Commons. April 80. Adelaide wheat, per 4901b5, ex warehouse, 525, The English and American harvests are reported as being favorable. Lord O’Hagan has been appointed Chancellor of.the House of Peers. Search having been made for the training ship Atalanta, no traca of her could be found.
