S.C. COURSING CLUB.

A committee meeting of the South Canterbury Coursing Club was held at the Crown Hotel, Temuka, on Tuesday evening last. Members present : —A, St. G. Hamersley (Cliairman), D. McLean, B. Thomson, Dr Hayes, and the Secretary. The Minutes of three previous meetings were read and confirmed. It was resolved that the first coursing meeting be held on Mr Stndholme’s property at Wahnate. Tho Chairman stated that permission had been obtained to course on tho Levels It was proposed by Mr B. Thomson, seconded bv Dr Hayes, and carried, that the All-aged Stakes be run otF with the Puppy Stakes at Waimate on 26tb May, and that the Secretary write to Nominators, and inform them of this resolution. A letter was read from J. Turner, Burn side. Dunedin, applying for the office of slinncr to the club. Resolved that Mr Turner’s offer be accepted at his own term*--. Resolved that the drawing for the Allaged Stakes take place on the same night and place as tho Puppy Stakes, and the balance of entry money on the same evening. Resolved that Mr Thomson, Dr Hayes, and the Secretary be a Sub-committee to draw out a programme for the season and that the same be advertised when settled upon. Tho following gmitl-men were then duly elected Stewards:—A. St. G. Hamersley (Slip Steward), Mr B. Thomson (Flag Steward), Messrs D. McLean. L)r Hayes, Stewart. Dr Mclntyre, A. Turnbull. Laurie, Sherwin, Meikle, J. Paterson, W. Williamson, and J. A. Gamack. The meeting then terminated with a vote of thanks tc tho Chairman.
