HORRIBLE RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
Relative to Cu- local published last Tuesdaj staling ilea a serious accidenthad occurred 012 V,\--> Railway, at South Eakaia, we have h-en enabled to gather the following particulars. The d ceased is a tailor, named James Clarke, wellknown as a Temuka resident, and on Saturday morning left that plncb expressing it as liis intention to walk to Orari, as he had 1 ome business to transact 011 the road and to caieli tho express proceeding north at that place. This was the last time he was seen alive in Temusa. On being discovered by Constable Eouse, the deceased was found to have been completely cut in two. An examination of his pockets showed that he had in his possession a railway ticket issued . t Winchester. It therefore appeared probable that he could Lpve only walked as far as that place and there caught-the express train. Particulars of how this horrible accident occurred are not yel to hand . At the inques'. a verdict of" Acc'dental Death" was re.umed. —Telegraph .
