At a meeting held here the other even--ihg,'it was resolved to hold a race meeting on St. Patrick's Pay, 1880. Mr Acton was appointed President, and Mr Gaze hon. secretary. There are a great many " sw;ig-' gers" in the township- at: present, asking for work, but in spite of that the farmers shy that they have to give a higher price <'f binding and stooking than ihey have given for year^.
