TEMUKA FIRE BRIGADE.

The adjourned rnnual. meeting of tho above Brigade took place at the eng.'neRhed on Tuesday night fait, there being about 20 persons present. Lieut. Gentleman occupied the chair. It was determined that tho brigade should be carried on whilo funds lasted. EJECTION OP OT-wioEfts. The election of cap Lain was deferred for the present. Proposed by Mr Mason, seconded by Mr Wilton, and carried—That Mr Gentleman be re-elected lieutenant. Proposed by Mr Guy, seconded by Mr Clirch, and curried —That Mr Priddy be re-elected foraman. Proposed by Mr Guy, seconded by Mr Walton, and carried, Tnat Mr G<. ntleman act as treasurer for the present. Proposed by Mr H. Clinch, seconded by Mr Walton, and carried, That Mr J. G. Mason be re-elected secretary. It was resolved that Mr W Siory be respecLfully asked to assist tho secretary in canvassing tho town for subscriptions. The following genLlemon were then r 7 uiy elecLed members of tho Standing Committee —Messrs Walton, Uprichards, Weir and Clinch. It was resolvel that any member of tho committee not attending three consecutive meetings be struck on the list. Messrs Seigert and A. 1).
