The attendance was comparatively small. A Comittee was formed of those present to solicit subscriptions, adding the names of Bishop Lowie and Bishop Steins^ i'he new wheat coming forward is in bad condition, being threshed too early, and millers decline to give more than 4s 6d per bushel. The gum market is rapidly declining, and will soon touch its old price, L4O per ton. The protest ot the Alert against the Toy received by the Committee is to be run wish the remaining races tr-morrow, A fire broke oat at nine o’clock tonight in the premises of C, Smith, Bei'esford street, in some bales of flax, but was suppressed by the salvage Corps and others. „ . - Mr F.
